Current Vacancies:

Teaching Assistant, required as soon as possible, working 30 hours per week, term time only, Grade 3 pro rata, core hours Monday to Friday, temporary contract.

The Headteacher and Governors at Bedford High School seek to appoint three effective and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to monitor, support and improve the overall progress and development of our students.

Successful applicants will need to have NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification or comparable level of experience.   You will have the ability to remain calm and positive in sometimes challenging circumstances and be able to relate well to children and adults.  Successful candidates will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for our students and to assist in the management of students throughout the school. You will be working across all areas of school.  We are looking for colleagues who are enthusiastic, caring, self-motivated, hardworking, organised and able to positively contribute to the ethos of our school.  You will have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life and will be committed to a teamwork approach.
