Lucy is in charge! Year 10 student Lucy has been appointed as touch judge for Open Age rugby league matches for both men and women. She has been presented with a special tie that she must wear before and after matches and also her match top. This is a tremendous achievement for someone who is still at school herself and there is only one other female in Lucy’s RFL Referee Society. Recently Lucy officiated at the Wigan ladies v Featherstone Rovers ladies Super League Match and it has been announced that she is on the shortlist for the Women’s Super League World Cup in 2021. Watch this space! Lucy is a fantastic role model as she undertakes all this work whilst studying hard for her GCSE’s. She is also paving the way for others to follow in her footsteps. Well done Lucy, we can’t wait to see you at the World Cup!
