EVENTS & ACTIVITIES W.E. 30 MARCH 2018
Our Debating team were placed in 4th place out of over 30 schools competing in the Regional finals this week. They narrowly missed out on qualification for the finals at Oxford University. Megan was awarded the best debater in the whole competition after her outstanding performances today. Our students stood shoulder to shoulder with some of the best students in the region and were more than a match for them. Please congratulate these students if you get a chance for their incredible achievements:

Bikeability delivered a Level 3 Bikeability Course with Year 7 Students on Monday.
Wigan & Leigh College
W&L staff interviewed year 11 students on Monday and Tuesday who had applied to them.
This term Year 7 have been inspired by the work of Pittsburgh visual artist Abby Diamond and her studies of insects and birds.
Vicky Jackson from KPMG and School Governor had a business lunch with students on Thursday to inform them about their apprenticeship and graduate programmes and tips on what employers look for in young people.
Human Utopia delivered inspirational workshops with year 9 on Thursday.
