KEY STAGE 3
Year 7, 8 amd 9 are following a new scheme of work that has been written within the BHS Science department. This measn that we can tailor it to our students.
It has proved very successful so far - especially when the pupils got the chance to make their own sparklers in our topic leading up to Bonfire Night.
KEY STAGE 4
Most pupils follow the 21st Century Science course, examined by OCR. The pupils complete their first science gcse in year 10, followed by the second in year 11.
Around 20% of pupils opt to take three separate science GCSEs.
About a quarter of pupils take another OCR course, OCR Nationals is particularly suited to students who are hard working and well organised as it is 100% coursework. This can lead to the equivalent of 4 GCSEs.
