Maths
Financial management is one of the first places students start when learning about how maths works in the real world. Students in Year 7 are setted using data from the feeder primary schools' teacher assessment and Key Stage Two results. Pupils remain in these groups until proof of suitable progress has been made. Pupils can then move up or down groups as necessary.
KEY STAGE 3
All pupils at Key Stage 3 use Maths Frameworking text books and homework books resources. This allows for consistency of teaching and smooth transitions between each year group. These books have been incorporated into our interactive scheme of work which allows staff to use them immediately.
KEY STAGE 4
Pupils follow the AQA Modular course without coursework making this a 100% examination throughout KS4. In Year 9, students begin Module 1 Data Handling and continue in Year 10, worth 18% towards their final grade. Year 10 then sit Module 3 Number & Algebra worth 27% and finally by Year 11 sit Module 5 Algebra, Shape Space & Measure worth 55%.
We have produced past exam question booklets for the whole of Years 10 and 11 in a hope to aid the pupils' revision and focus their minds on key questions.
